"Short Stay experience"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

I was in for a Colonoscopy. I was really frightened but with the friendliness and support of the team I got through it. One particular doctor did the procedure. Also another lady who even rang me when I was discharged to check up on me. ALL the staff were brilliant. they work really hard but are still so caring.. I also want to mention a chap who came to prepare a bed. This was on 19th Feb At 11pm on ward B26.. I watched him clean this bed while we chatted. He was so thorough, cleaning every nook and cranny. I did complement him and I never realised the work it entailed to get a bed ready for the next patient.

Thank you to all concerned, you made my stay a memory of good , caring and professional staff.

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch and leave us such lovely feedback. The procedure can be frightening at first so it is good that you were made to feel at ease. I am sure the staff member you mentioned will be delighted to be recognised in this way. It takes a lot of different members of staff to keep the hospital running properly and each person plays an important role, although sometimes this work is not always seen. I am sure they will be very pleased with your comments.
