"12 week’s scan"

About: Basildon University Hospital / Maternity

My husband and I went for our 12weeks scan today and it was horrible. From the minute we walked in the lady at reception wasn’t very “receptive”.

As this was our first pregnancy we expected the nurse to talk us through what to expect and so on. The conversation started off rude without a care that I might not want the person I came in with to know all about my medical history. Secondly the nurse just splattered a blub of cold gel on my belly no prior warning, no talking us through what she was doing.

At the end it was a bye wait in the waiting area someone will call you.

This is terrible. My husband was furious I was so unhappy wasn’t really how I imagined hearing our first child’s heartbeat.
