I would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the centre for the good care they provided to me. In 2015 I developed sepsis, due to an infected tooth. I visited the centre and saw a doctor who immediately recognised my condition. She gave me a note and sent me to Tameside Hospital Accident and Emergency. I was admitted and given intravenous antibiotics over 3 days. I was kept there for 12 days until my liver had recovered. This prompt diagnosis and treatment means that I am still here with all my limbs!
In September 2016 I was quickly diagnosed with prostate cancer and again I was swiftly dealt with by Tameside Hospital, Christies and Christies at Oldham. My treatment for this is ongoing, but again I would like to praise the nurse at Staveleigh for her promptness and her caring attitude when I see her every 12 weeks for hormone therapy or a blood test.
"My thanks to Staveleigh Medical Centre"
