Well I dislocated my patella and called for the assistance, which in this case was Great Western Ambulance Service (GWAS).
The initial response was good and the call handler dispatched a Rapid Response Vehicle (RRV) which did arrive promptly - the paramedic on the RRV was able to give me pain relief but then obviously he had to call for back up.
But the main problem was because there was a RRV on scene my call got downgraded which then left my call at a Category C. After being in pain for over a hour, the truck finally arrived and carted me off to Gloucester Royal (My local A&E).
Personally this went from quite a good performance from GWAS into one that deteriorated dramatically. As a member of staff at St John Ambulance, who liases with GWAS, this was certainly not the best effort I've seen from GWAS after working with them on some occasions.
