"disappointed"

About: Broomfield Hospital / Accident and emergency

Before A&E, we called in the morning to see a GP but we were told that there was no appointment available in that day.

We came in (A&E) to see a medic for a chest infection after the GP prescribed antibiotics with no effects after 6 days treatment. A nurse did the assessment and put us on the queue to see a doctor after she said there is a 2 hours waiting time but could be less.

After more than 3 hours we asked why is taking so long and we've been told there was a 4 hours or more, waiting time.

We left A&E after 3,30 hours waiting time, without seeing a doctor and with hope that we could get an appointment next day with the GP.

Apologies for the delay in our A&E Department. We have been experiencing large numbers of patients attending the department which leads to longer than anticipated waits. I hope you were successful in obtaining an appointment with the GP.
