"The Dermatology Department Royal Hallamshire..."

I was referred by my GP to be seen within 2 weeks by a Dermatology Department about a

symptomatic lesion on my face.I was seen by a consultant dermatologist within 8 days at

The Royal Hallamshire Hospital,Sheffield.I was very impressed with this.It was a late clinic

on 14 February which I also found convenient to attend.By contrast I could not be offered

an appointment within 2 weeks at my home town Hospital in Barnsley.

On 14 February the consultant dermatologist and other staff were all so professional and

polite and gave excellent service.That date I was offered a minor operation to remove the

lesion on my face within 2 weeks and I made an appointment that date for that to be done

on 19 February 2018-in just 5 days time.Again I was very impressed with this waiting time

to the procedure.

On 19 February 2018 I attended the Royal Hallamshire Hospital Sheffield for the minor operation and this was carried out by a Nurse Practitioner and assistant.The symptomatic

lesion was removed along with another one nearby that may have become a problem in

the future too.Both the Nurse Practitioner and his assistant where very professional and

polite in dealing with me and I was put at ease for the procedure and had every

confidence in them.Following the procedure(s) removed samples have been sent for

biopsy and I await the results but have in the meanwhile been discharged from clinic.

I cannot praise the Royal Hallamshire Hospital Dermatology Department.Sheffield

enough for the speedy resolution of my treatment and the polite,professional and caring

attitudes of all staff who dealt with me.I have been so impressed by all concerned and

it has been my best experience of an NHS service anywhere to date.Thank You!.
