"Shocking service and nosey receptionists"

It is almost impossible to get appointments at this surgery and the way that the receptionists deal with your requests is so unprofessional. On top of that they want to know what you need an appointment for, supposedly so they can act as a triage and get you an appointment with the appropriate person, which is absolutely absurd seeing as they are receptionists not medically trained professionals. It is so ridiculous that this is acceptable to the surgery. If they want a triage service then perhaps a nurse should take over that role because as it stands the receptionists are blocking people from getting the health service they need. This is not to say all of the receptionists are the same but certainly the ones I have had to deal with. Halstead needs a new Drs surgery that is run in a professional manner in accordance with the appropriate guidelines and perhaps a refresher in a receptionists role and responsibilities and the limitations is in order. I work in healthcare myself and I’m just disgusted.
