"Not a single chair to sit on in the room or in..."

About: University Hospital Of North Durham / Accident and emergency

We were with my Mam who was seen in the Accident and Emergency part, of the hospital. I have nothing but the highest if respect for Staff working like dogs in awful conditions. There were trollies of ambulances lining the corridor, fire hazard I’m sure as the staff could not even get past with another trolley. How your staff cope is beyond me ???? I can only imagine the shortages you have of staff leaving due to stress. Then once we eventually got into a room there were NO chairs so some of us sat on the bins while other family memebers sat on the floor. I could see we were not the only family in this situation, as the doors were open on the rooms. When we went into the waiting room it was standing room only and there were people queuing to book in from the main corridor. Then my Mam had to endure a 10 ish hour wait to go to a ward space. Thanks UHND your staff are amazing your services are not .
