I received excellent outpatient care at Cotswold House. My therapist was very experienced and understood a complex condition extremely well. The reception staff and diagnosis team handled everything really well.
I am sure it was hard to give me control over my own treatment when my ability to look after myself was so compromised. But when changes were suggested, I always felt my feelings and opinions were important. Sometimes I saw things differently, but everything was explained to me in a fair and clear way. I had confidence in the people looking after me, which hasn't happened to me before.
The only issue is the waiting times, which I hear have more than doubled since I was on the waiting list. The centre did everything it could during the waiting period to keep an eye on me. I am saddened that resources are so stretched, cuts so severe, and staff so pressured that the extremely hard waiting period has extended.
