"Great experience in the Breast Screening Unit"

About: Warrington Hospital / Gynaecology

I was referred by my GP to the Breast Screening Unit due to having breast pain. I was impressed and relieved that my appointment date was made so close to my referral date by my GP - I was expecting to have to wait a number of weeks, but in fact my wait was just a few days. On arriving at the unit I was seen by the doctor on time, who requested a mammogram and ultrasound were done. I was impressed (and relieved) that these two procedures plus the reviewing of the results were done there and then as part of my appointment - I was expecting to have to make a further appointment for these procedures. Everything was done efficiently as I was in the unit for no more than 45 mins from my appointment time. All the staff were friendly and reassuring and treated me with dignity and respect. I could not have asked for anything more. Thank you very much!
