"Attending for Pain Treatment"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

Being given an appointment on a Saturday is so convenient and easy. On arriving at the QMC easy parking, easy access to the ward. I was greeted with a smile at reception and within a few minutes was taken into the ward where everything I needed was ready. The nurse who admitted me was so friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble.

A full explanation of what was going to be done was carried out all questions answered and you were put at ease.

The consultant came and again went very clearly through the procedure he was going to perform.

A very short time later I was escorted to the theatre and again everything was checked by the consultant I have to say he is in my top 5 of the best consultants I have been under over the past 5 years at the QMC. Nothing was to much trouble talking all the time telling me where was and what he was going to do, prepared to stop if I felt unwell or in pain.

As this time things were a lot more painful and not feeling to good I was not rushed out ready for the next patient but concern for my well being came first.

Once back on the ward the nursing staff were 100% could not do enough and I was not feeling to well and spent time making sure I was ok, nothing was too much trouble continuously checking before I was allowed home.

I have nothing but praise for the QMC and its staff I have never been let down or had any reason to complain.

Please keep up the good work you are ALL a credit to The NHS.
