As a patient on chemotherapy I should have been seen quickly and isolated from other patients instead I was in general waiting areas for 14 hours
The whole department was dirty & no consideration given to infection control. Couches were dirty floors had blood & rubbish on them & were only wiped up. Hand hygiene totally inadequate by staff. Toilets constantly dirty
Intravenous antibiotics given in a tiny area with 7 others.
Staff were trying to help people but seemed overwhelmed by the numbers
Some patients waiting were old & frail & alone & not given drinks or food & were in the dept for days with nowhere to lie down 1 elderly man was left in a toilet had to helped by fellow patients. Not conducive to healing
"Chemotherapy ignored"
