"Marvellous Moorfields let down by rude..."

About: Moorfields Eye Hospital (City Road Campus) / Ophthalmology

I have been attending the AMD clinic at Moorfields, St Georges for the past 8 years and have received exemplary care and courtesy there on every visit (approximately every 6-8 weeks). As the St Georges clinic is undergoing refurbishment, my care has been transferred to the Retinal Therapy Unit at City Road, which I attended for the first time this week.

I am sorry to report that, while the medical care was excellent, the staff on reception were rude beyond belief! They were very abrupt with everyone they dealt with, seeming to resent any intrusion on the chat they were having with each other. When I misheard one of the receptionist's instructions to me and asked her to repeat herself she barked out a monosyllabic reply at full volume, which made me feel humiliated and angry.

Please can you address this issue? I will be attending Moorfields again in the coming weeks and am absolutely dreading having to go through reception. Thank-you.
