I was advised to do to out of hours Doctor at this hospital.
She was very thorough and told me to go to A&E with a letter.
Once there everything possible was done to find the cause of my high temperature and pulse. I was put on a drip with IV antibiotics, had x rays and blood tests and was eventually admitted whereby they did a CT scan during the night.
All the staff that dealt with my case were fantastic.
The A& E nurses and doctors were excellent as were the ward doctors.
However one or two of the care assistants on my ward should not be doing the job at all
They appeared to have little interest in people
I was a care assistant and one of the criterior of the job, in my opinion, is to like people and smile.
"Dedicated to out of hours doctor and A&E staff"
