At first, I was in CBT for Depression but I decided myself that this was not right for me. After asking one of the therapists for individual sessions we began to delve deeper into the things that bothered me in a way that I could never personally do in a group.
East targets were set each week to make sure I was making the most of the treatment, but only what I was comfortable with. I felt as though I had complete control as to what was discussed and how we pursued them - everything was listened to professionally, sensitively and without any judgment at all.
In addition to this, I made good friends from the CBT group even in the short time that I was there and very proud to say that I completed my therapy with flying colours and I know how to prevent relapses as they prepare you for this too.
Never before have I been so confident in a therapy scenario, or so confident in my therapist but I am deeply grateful for them and always will be.
