I am sad to say that I feel worse now (mentally) than the day I was referred to the Waterford 'Team'.
I would advise anyone needing mental health support of any description to seek a referral to one of the other CMHT's covering West Hants (where possible).
This is a genuine and serious recommendation.
I am extremely concerned for the welfare of patients under Waterford House, and as such, I will also be making a formal complaint to raise my concerns.
I feel as if Waterford House have bundled up all of the things a mentally ill person struggles to deal with (all the things you would actually expect a mental health service to understand and to help you with like fear/inability to cope with rejection or being let down etc ) and proceeded to throw it all in my face (a little like a bully at school might do to someone they see as 'weak' and unable to fight back ) before dusting themselves off and walking away without a second thought.
I have been promised so many calls which have never happened, updates which have never happened, I have never received a proper care plan or a formal diagnosis,I have never seen their psychiatrist, my family have had to call numerous times on my behalf to push for various responses.
Having visited A&E due to self harm and suicidal ideas, Waterford were asked (by the A&E Mental Health Team) to call me the next day to discuss my case.
They didn't ....
(I could go on...)
I am very very disappointed, and concerned that this is the level of service being offered in 2018!
