"Excellent hospital stay"

I was involved in a road accident 30 year ago and unfortunately broke my neck which left me paralyzed from the neck down and permanently confined to a wheelchair.

I have had to rely on the services of the NHS for the past 30 years and very recently had a 2 week stay at Scunthorpe hospital (ward 23) with a collapsed lung and chest infection. I would like to share the experience with you, I did hesitate to phone an ambulance as the news is constantly reporting the casualty departments are over stretched I didn’t see any evidence of this at all !!!!!!! from the ambulance team arriving at my house right through to my discharged my experience was excellent from the nurses, doctors and physios. the electric beds and the specialized airflow mattresses were great the food was also really good with a varied choice and good quality meals I also saw massive improvements on the daily cleaning of the wards
