"Ward 28; For Bunion Surgery on the 7th February..."

About: Bradford Royal Infirmary / Trauma and orthopaedics

Arrived at 7am. Long wait for surgery. Did not go down for operation until 4 Pm. No beds available. Staff looked after us marvellously. Not their fault. Lovely people. Kept us informed regularly about what was going on. Apologised to us. Was feeling feint due to lack of food. Managed to get us a drink. But advised not to drink after 11am. My husband was with me and he is Diabetic and when I told them I was worried about him as he hadn’t eaten since 6am they arranged a sandwich and a cup of tea for him. Such caring staff. Thank you Ward 28 for all your help.

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to send us this feedback, which is always appreciated.

I am sorry for the long wait, we understand that that is not particularly easy, but I am pleased to hear that you found the staff kind and caring, and that they looked after your husband.

We have passed this on to the ward, who will value hearing about your experience.
