My husband booked a go appointment with who thought was a gp. When he got called in it was with a nurse. He explained how he was feeling and how he has been struggling again. He asked for a note to support him in work not a unfit for work note. He was told only the gp can do this (which is who he thought he was going to see) he asked to speak to gp. He was then informed he would not have appointments left, through sheer frustration he got upset and said forget it. On the way out visibly upset he asked the receptionist if he could see a gp and was told no and to call back in morning at 8am if he wanted an appointment.
This surgery is a joke, I have been trying to contact them from 16.35pm to 16.50pm and it is constantly engaged. My husband is now in such a bad place with no support and he doesnt know where to go next.
A sheer lack of unprofessionalism and lack of care for patients is clearly evident.
"Lack of mental health support is ridiculous"
