"Total time in A&E 50 minutes"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

I tripped at home and split my head at front with a 2" gash, which was bleeding profusely.   On arrival at Royal Alexandra Hospital A&E I was clerked in very efficiently.

After waiting only 5 minutes in the waiting area I was seen by Triage Nurse, Doctor Jonathon (Surname Unknown) arrived within a few minutes and examined the wound, Called his consultant for an second opinion on how to proceed (Glue or stitch). Stitch was decided and after gently administering local anesthetic proceeded to stitch the wound. I was then discharged...

Total time in A&E 50 minutes.   What a fantastic service from this department & staff.
