"Broken bone or bad sprain?"

About: Ilkeston Community Hospital

After slipping down a couple of stairs at home and not wanting to add to the pressures at QMC A&E I visited the Ilkeston Community Hospital's Minor Injury Unit.

The staff were without exception friendly and efficient. I only waited about 10 minutes to be seen initially and was then passed on to the X-Ray Department, where again everything ran smoothly with minimum waiting time.

The X-Rays showed that I had indeed, fractured a bone in my foot and an appointment was made for me to be seen at the QMC Fracture Clinic with X-Rays sent electronically to them.

I would definitely not hesitate to use the facility again should the need arise and would certainly recommend them.
