"Awful experience"

About: Chelsea & Westminster Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

Lost my MRI results, kept me waiting for 4 hours before they found them and then basically telling me they hadn't analysed them so couldn't tell me anything. Receptionist asked me where I'd had the tests done, when I said here he looked shocked. Better than his colleague who just kept telling me to wait. I was the 3rd person in there in the morning and the last one out.

I was referred for an MRI three times, first two times contacted them to find they'd not booked it. Delayed everything by a month and since I have now moved out of London the only person answering any form of communication said I can't have the results of said MRI unless i travel 200 miles to attend a second results appointment.

Dear Patient,

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience.

Usually if a specialist from the hospital refers patients for MRI, the results would be provided at the next follow up appointment. A copy should be sent to the GP.

If you have recently changed your GP, just ask the practice to request the results from the hospital so you do not need to come in person.
