"Everything was fully explained to me"

About: Southend Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

Hi for last four months i have been suffering with back problems, the last month i started getting pain in my groin, strangely this pain started every day between 4 and 6 pm

I had a visit to the local doctors who arranged a pelvis and lumbar x ray, this showed small arthritis in my spine but probably nothing an over 50 year old would have.

I had blood tests they came back normal, urine sample came back normal

A week later on two visits to the loo while having a wee i lost blood

Returned to the doctors and he arranged for me to have an ultra sound

I was thinking stones, but the ultra sound showed a mass of something but due to no movement of the mass stones were ruled out

yesterday went to the Urology, one stop haematuria

Had an examination of the bladder (cystoscopy)

I have to say the staff are amazing, informative and a kind manner

I also had another ultrasound, blood pressure urine checked

The cystoscopy showed that i actually have  a tumour in the inside of my bladder,

I am waiting  to go into hospital for a few days they are going to remove the tumour if possible

Everything was fully explained to me what will happen in hospital and any follow up treatment
