(as the patient),

I had a severe chest infection. The staff was friendly and informative. However, waiting times were a bit long

Dear squeeky,

Thank you for your feedback. We hope that you are now feeling better.

I can only apologise for the long wait. Whereas we try to keep waiting times to a minimum and keep the patients updated on the current wait, the unpredictably of A&E will sometimes mean that patients are in the department for an extended amount of time.

This is monitored and audited so we can continue to try to make improvements to the service. I am pleased that you were well looked after and kept informed.

Thank you again for taking the time to post feedback.

Update posted by Squeeky (the patient)

Hi Donna

I fully understand how busy and under-staffed you guys are. It was an observation and not a complaint. Please pass on my thanks to the staff and in particular nurse Fernandez, hopefully I’ve got her name and title correct.

Many thanks.
