"A&E and the subsequent wards"

It was impressive to arrive at 0030 and to immediately see the assessment nurse/manager. Within an hour, I had seen the Investigations Doctor, who fitted me with the best kanula that I have ever had, and was in the Emergency Ward having a succession of blood transfusions. Then I was transferred to an Admissions Ward and not long after to Ward C54.

The performances of the doctors, nurses and administrators were faultless. I was particularly impressed how willing the nurses were to follow up tests and pass on the results or appropriate information and what was to happen next.

The only drawback was the food. Clearly they are still getting over the now-cancelled Carillion contract. Before that outsourcing, the Hospital Trust's Catering Dept was just excellent.
