I arrived on a Monday morning, having (as a man in his 40s) to avoid the NHS or anything hospital like for 20 years. I was due to have a General Anaesthetic, and was hence very apprehensive.
The staff in the Elmbury suite did everything they could to re-assure me and make the visit as pleasant as possible. The after-op care was superb, but then I believe any experience can be made better by the application of tea & custard creams. They made me feel welcome, even when I was the last patient to leave the ward by about 45 minutes.
