"Awful doctors - to avoid"

About: Kenyon Medical Centres

Rude receptionists, awful telephone manner and ruder in person. Never have appointments, and when you do get one they get it wrong. I booked an appointment with a female gp, had to wait two weeks longer for it. Arrived there - they had booked it with a man anyway despite making me wait longer. Receptionist didn’t care when I told her it was unacceptable, she just said take thre appointment or leave it. The male gp then had to rebook it for me as the reception didn’t. I had to come back another time. Next appointment I needed a double slot, requested it.

Turned up, went in 20 mins late, doctor refused appointment as I ‘hadn’t booked enough time’

Diabetic nurse told me I must have ‘lost weight’ because my gestational diabetes was gone, a condition caused by hormones and the placenta. I told her that was rude and blaming me for that condition and FYI I’m not and I haven’t! I decided to make a complaint to the practice manager, who didn’t reply. She let one of the doctors who I complained about reply, who told me all booking errors were MY fault, their receptionists were great and the diabetic nurse giving me ‘weight advice in relation to diabetes is standard’ and ignored what her actual comment was, not to mention I’m not diabetic so that wasn’t even the conversation! I was promptly blamed for all issues, the receptionists clearly can’t do their jobs and can’t book appointments and are rude, the nurse is clueless, the doctors are rude and the practice manager can’t even follow her own complaints procedure. I am now trying to complain via the ombudsman.
