"Excellent care by the whole dental team."

My youngest child unfortunately had to have teeth extracted under a general anaesthetic. I was all prepared for a stressful situation, but the staff could not have put me at ease anymore than they did. From the smiling, helpful receptionist to the Childsmile assistant who listened to my concerns, to the anaesthetist who humoured us and encouraged me to cuddle my child whilst she was put to sleep. Everyone involved in the before and after care explained what was going to happen and I was given many opportunities to ask questions. I had asked to be called to recovery as soon as it was possible so I could comfort my child, which is exactly what happened. It felt like we weren't there to fit with the system, but that the staff were happy to fit round what was right for us. I just want to say thank you for caring and helping make the experience the best it could be. The only question my child had afterwards was whether she managed to blow the balloon up in theatre more than 25 times, she was adamant that she couldn't be put to sleep by anyone.
