"Extremely grateful to the staff"

I went to see an emergency dentist on Sunday (AM) as I was in a lot of pain, where I had an X-ray carried out and was told that I had an abscess under my tooth, I was given antibiotics and pain killers to try and clear the infection.   On Sunday (PM) the right hand side of my face started to swell and cause me even more pain, but I kept taking the antibiotics and pain killers, giving them time to work.   This gradually got worse and more painful where I found it painful and difficult to talk and I was not getting any sleep either.   On Tuesday I made an appointment at my doctors' surgery, where I saw a Doctor (Boultham Park Medical Practice) that I had not seen before, the Doctor(BPMP) listened to all my symptoms and although she was not very experienced with dental diagnosis, she made every effort to try and find a solution for me.   The Doctor(BPMP) could not get in contact with the maxillofacial unit by phone so sent me to Lincoln county hospital with a referral letter and told me to go to A& E if I didn't get a phone call from her.   As I arrived at A& E I got a phone call from the Doctor(BPMP) telling me not to go through A& E but to carry on straight to Ward 9, on arrival I was asked to take a seat and I was seen and assessed within 30 mins, I was sent for an X-ray of my whole mouth so that the Doctor(Lincoln County Hospital) had a full understanding of what was going on.   The Doctor(LCH) explained everything that she was going to do, how she was going to do it and what complications there could be, every step of the way the Doctor(LCH) was doing everything she could to reassure me about what was going to happen.   After the procedure the Doctor(LCH) gave me some stronger antibiotics and a leaflet on how to take care of my mouth (post op).   I am extremely grateful to the staff on the whole at Boultham Park Medical practice andLincoln County Hospital.
