My dad had an appointment aged 89. Nightmare. I was told to ring the secretary of surgeon concerned who would be doing a minor op, as my dad has dementia and unable to take phone calls,( as short term memory so cannot remember messages to pass on to me). I was told that my details could not go on system as the computer says no. Seems a bit ridiculous that care of details cannot be added. Needless to say it all went wrong, we arrived to be told that the appointment had been cancelled and they had rang my dad and told him earlier in week. so for the second time he has been put back on the waiting list. The lady at main reception on way out kindly managed to put my contact number on instead of dad's. So why couldn't the secretary who I rang? which would have saved a 33 mile round trip and putting my dad through it, who is not in good health not to mention stress to me. Parking is ridiculous 20 minutes of driving around car parks to get parked. There are not enough seats outside café at main reception. And there was no apology from anyone about the cancelled appointment. Do not choose and book here.
