Went to mayday on 31st January for an appointment at nine, not seen until 9.45. Prior to attending @ reception I was told that I needed to have bloods taken before I could be seen with no prior information as to why these were needed to be done.
During the diagnosis being told I had cancer nursing staff continued to come in and out of the room to inform doctor they were running late, which whilst time constraints can be understood as a patient makes you feel just like a number rather then an actual human being.
While having bloods done there was a power cut in the hospital which added to further delay and distress.
Then prescribed medication to pick up from their pharmacy with over an hour waiting time. Whilst the pharmacy staff were pleasant and compassionate, there was confusion with customers as not everyone had a prescription note, the numbers being called were not being displayed on the screen so it was quite chaotic and the card machine was not working.
