"Avoid this hospital at all costs"

About: Spire Little Aston Hospital

I saw two doctors about my ongoing ankle pain which caused me to limp daily for 4 months. After numerous scans and second opinions, one doctor told me to go to A&E with a handwritten note at the Queen Elizabeth hospital who expressed their bafflement as to why the doctor did so. They turned me down and told me to go back to my GP. The doctor at the QE seemed fairly annoyed that the doctor a fellow QE consultant had sent me to A&E knowing that it has strained resources and wouldn't be able to do anything because they do not have immediate access to my medical files.

I successfully diagnosed myself after requesting an additional blood test from my GP which confirmed I had chronic gout. I asked a doctor if I had gout after my MRI scan at Little Aston. He disagreed.

After writing a letter of complaint and a full investigation, the hospital director has confirmed that I was treated in an appropriate manner. I'll let you be the judge.
