My wife and I have been patients at this practice for a number of years. At first we were happy with the standard of service that we received. However, this last year the standard of service has declined to the point that the receptionists have a real bad attitude; they are rude/impolite, unhelpful and belittling toward the patient. The knowledge and standard of service is nothing short of appalling. At the beginning of January, I had an emergency appointment. The GP said they needed to see me three weeks later. The receptionists repeatedly confirm a patient is to phone at 8:30 or 12:30 for an appointment on the day; however, each time I've been put in a long queue that results in the phone going dead or no appointments are available. Telephone five or ten minutes later the receptionist confirms you have to phone dead on 8:30 or 12:30pm. The general attitude is: if no appointments are available, Tough luck! I only wish an illness could be so well timed to fit in with the booking system! The last time I tried booking online the earliest appointment was 48 days wait. These last few months I've been in and out of A&E a number of times. During my last visit a consultant confirmed I need to see a Neurologist; however, when I confirmed this to my GP, that GP was clearly disgruntled to the point that the referral was done so begrudgingly. When I saw another GP, a water sample I took in showed a trace of blood; however, the results are said to be okay, which is hard to believe when there was a trace of blood. I'm not one to normally write a review; however, things have gotten so bad that I recently registered at another practice. I feel an audit is long overdue at the Holbrooks Health Team.
