"Patient Transport to hospital out of area"

A lady living in Tameside had an appointment at Stepping Hill Hospital. She had to be in for 7:00 a.m. for some tests prior to surgery later in the morning.  She did not know how she would get there for that time.  Miles of Smiles (voluntary car scheme) don’t start until 9am and her granddaughter had tried to book through Patient Transport and been told that they don’t start until 8am.  She said that her granddaughter had rung Stepping Hill Hospital and been told that they couldn’t help her.
