I attended to have an arthroscopy with microfracture surgery on my left knee. Even though I had to be there by 0700, the staff were already waiting at reception and I was up onto the admittance ward in 10 minutes. All the necessary documents etc were professionally done with sympathy, making sure I was put at total ease. I have nothing but the utmost respect for these hard working and very underpaid professionals. I honestly don’t believe I would have got better care even if I had gone private. The NHS should be very proud of the work that is being done in this hospital. They are a credit to their profession. Nothing seemed too much bother, even when I asked for about 4 cups of tea one after the other. The ward after surgery was welcoming and once again, I cannot find a single fault. I’m writing this as I sit waiting to be collected to go home. If you have a choice of hospital to go to for surgery, I strongly recommend St Michaels.
"Superb Care at every stage."
