Last night I rushed to the A&E Western Eye Hospital because of sudden disturbance in my eyesight. The department was crowded and my wife and I waited 4 hours before being seen by the doctor. He was extremely professional, thorough, caring, with impeccable bedside manners. He diagnosed a small tear in the retina and said it had to be lasered asap to avoid the detachment of the retina. I went back early this morning, anxious to have the same doctor treat me himself, as he had inspired great confidence in me as a doctor. I am particularly grateful to him that he stayed on overtime in order to treat my eye by laser, even though he had been on call all night. Afterwards I was also seen by two consultants who confirmed the diagnosis and treatment given to me by this doctor as "excellent".
A big Thank You to the hardworking staff of the A&E, and in my personal experience especially the doctor.
