"Condescending attitudes of GP's and staff"

About: Hollinwood Medical Practice

This whole practice is badly managed from GP attitudes toward their patients right down to admin and telephone services.

This practice has no interest in the views and wishes of it's patients especially the elderly ones. The practice instructs elderly people to repeatedly attend the surgery, sometimes twice a day because they are unable to bring appointment, check-up's and reviews etc under one manageable appointment system.

We all know Hollinwood is a deprived area and the GP's at this practice treat people from this area as ignorant unintelligent beings. GP's dictate or refuse access to needed prescriptions without explanation and when challenged, the GP will sarcastically ask when did the patient qualify as a doctor? patients are told they are rude when in fact it is the other way around.

While we all accept rudeness is unpleasant for all concerned. This practice must learn to understand their perceived rudeness is actually frustration and anger at the lack of common sense patients face from GP's and staff.

Patients at this practice need safeguarding from GP's attitudes and arrogance toward their patients, lack of knowledge and refusal to accept that patients do actually know themselves better than locums and some regular GP's
