"Informative and support"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Maternity care

(as the patient),

My little girl was born via emergency cesarean at the QMC in July 2017. It was a very long labour which meant we had the pleasure of meeting several different midwives that were assigned to us. Whilst our birth plan didn’t go to plan, our experience was so wonderful that we wouldn’t have had it any other way.

I felt empowered to make decisions and all of our midwives we met were informative and supportive every step of the way. The theatre staff and anaesthesiology team were excellent and efficient. All medical decisions were explained along the way and my wishes were respected as best as they possibly could be under the circumstances.

I could not speak highly enough of the QMCs services.

What wonderful news – thank you so much for sharing this, I’m so glad to hear that in spite of your daughter’s birth not going to plan, we were able to help make it such a positive and empowering experience for you. I’ve shared this lovely message with the QMC maternity team.

My best wishes to you and your family.
