"Great care delivered"

I fractured a bone in my arm in February of 2017 (stupidly), and have been meaning to give complements to the ward I was on ever since. On the 6th February I was admitted to a D ward (unsure which) for surgery on my right arm which included pins holding it together to allow the bone to heal.

Whilst on the ward I met nurses staff (including bank members) and surgeons and I have to say, everyone was fantastic. My surgery went smoothly and I was involved in my care from minuet one I was reassured when feeling nervous, provided me with aftercare and was al done in a professional and caring manner.

One nurse who I found exceptionally caring- a bank nurse who had worked the wards for many years however had recently retired and was doing a little extra work. She is an excellent example of a professional delivering good practice. She was caring, compassionate and most of all a joy to talk to when you feel a little vulnerable.

Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better service. I typed in google this morning NHS C.. and immediately it came up with 'NHS complaints'

I feel the staff of the NHS - at times do not receive the recognition they deserve and therefore
