"Waste of time and NHS money."

About: Euston House

I was referred to see a rheumatologist by my GP due to on-going pain and possible fibromyalgia. I was seen by a female doctor(she did not introduce herself so I do not know her name). She came to call me to her office. She then rushed off from the waiting room leaving me trailing behind(I was in a lot of pain and was struggling to breathe so I was slow to catch up to her.).

The appointment lasted 9 minutes. She did not ask where I experience pain. She did not examine me. She saw on my records that I suffer from depression and I am a carer for my mother. She judged me and decided that my mental illnesses cause the pain before I even opened my mouth. She didn't care to ask anything about the pain. What I believe causes it, etc. Every time I tried to explain it and what it feels like she would interrupt me to tell me to talk to a carers counselling service. She said I should do yoga(if she had talked to me properly she would know that I had tried this and stretching causes intense muscle cramping). She implied many times that if I had a "normal life" and did not care for my mother my pain would disappear. What a miraculous treatment that would be! At the end of the appoint she said "Oh! I've not even asked you what medication you are taking!". I was so stunned that she forgot about something so important I forgot some of my meciations. At this point I just wanted to get out of there. It was clear in the first minute of the appointment she had no interest in listening to me or helping me. Overall she forgot how to be a doctor. She forgot to be kind and caring and thorough. I have waited over a year to be referred to a specialist. I am furious and saddened that I was treated this way.
