About: Benenden Hospital

Was treated at Benenden about 8 years ago for an arthroscopy and was very impressed with the whole process- fast and efficient. Now I am awaiting a repeat procedure but very different experience this time . Whilst the facilities and buildings are much improved I have not been so impressed this time. Things are much slower and it seems there is a lack of communication and urgency. After seeing the consultant on 17th November and being booked in for surgery I am still waiting for a date for my op. Despite a phone call by myself and a message on their website I have had no response . It seems that treatment is now pretty much in line with nhs waiting times and I am left wondering why I am paying £50 plus per month and what extra I am getting for it. Local reporting says they are planning on 140 redundancies and concentrating on providing daycare instead of long term care - let’s hipe this gets them back to where they were before !!
