"Very poor care"

Slow to even start/produce a care plan. Little or no communication between staff or with my father who was the patient and us his family when we ask about what was happening even though we had full disclosure that my father had given. Every time one of us including my father asked we got told to speak to a Dr or the person assigned to him who was never actually available always getting told to call then being given the run around.

This place was truly awful.

We apologise that both you and your father feel that his care was slow and communication from the ward was not as effective as you wished.

We aim to carry out a full assessment period to identify risks and collaborate with the patient in order to produce a thorough care plan, which explains the aim of admission to hospital with the wishes of the patient.

All care plans are completed within 24 hours of admission and a copy provided to all patients, which is frequently audited.
