"Let down again !!!!"

About: Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

Myself and my son made several complaints about his shameful treatment under Sussexpartnership.

Had a meeting with PALS in October 2017 which was a complete waste of time and then had the cheek to blame us.

The CEO of Sussexpartnership distance herself from all our complaints

None of our complaints was upheld so have now decided to have nothing more to do with them because it’s safer.

Once I ask for my son to have a risk assessment done by his psychiatrist and after his risk assessment we was informed that he does not do martial arts and does not carry a weapon need I say more!!!

Just heard that Sussexpartnership has had its ratings from the QCC improved well it would do if it keeps covering up its failings and not admitting to them.

Most people who suffer from serious mental health issues don’t bother complaining firstly because of the stress it causes them and mostly because they are too ill.

it’s very rare that any seriously mentally ill person complains with regard to their treatment themselves.

I also made several calls to the QCC to share my concerns with regard to Sussex partnership because of my sons shameful treatment under them and nothing was done other than being told that my concerns would be passed on to the inspector from the QCC who visits that team in our Sussex partnership area.

Dear Sir or Madam

I am very sorry that you are so unhappy with Sussex Partnership and urge you to make contact with the next stage of the NHS complaints procedure as you feel your complaint has not been answered - there is information on the NHS Choices website.https://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/complaints-and-feedback/Pages/nhs-complaints.aspx about where to go next and how to get support to do so.

We are pleased that the CQC has rated us as good after inspecting our services and speaking with many service users, carers and staff. But we are also clear that there is always work to be done to improve further and ensure that every person who is in our services feels like they and their family gets the care they need when they need it.

Yours sincerely

Rachael Kenny
