I found the labour ward team excellent and they made me feel very safe and considered, the night midwives were kind. professional and attentive, the anesthesiologist who administered my epidural did a great job and the doctors did regular rounds.
The transition to the maternity ward can be a bit brutal though, again kind and dedicated midwives but the collective rooms are not comfortable at all. Upgraded to a small private room with no private bathroom for the extortionate amount of £85/night.
