"Outstanding care"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / General Surgery (wards 64, 65, 66,& 67)

(as a relative),

My husband was taken for an emergency lap appendectomy after being admitted from a&e early hours of the morning.

From top to bottom the care was outstanding. But I really would like to thank his recovery nurse who took the time to reassure me when she came up with him to the ward.

She spent at least 10 minutes reassuring me and she was outstanding. She really is a credit to the GRI theatre team and I’d like to thank her from the bottom of my heart.

Dear Ldj1988

Thank you for posting on Care Opinion.

I am delighted to read about the outstanding care you and your husband received. When a loved one is in hospital it can be a worrying time for their family and I am glad that the nurse was able to reassure you.

I will share your post with the staff who will appreciate your feedback.

Please pass on my best wishes to your husband.

Kind Regards

Nicole
