"NHS 111 service"

About: DHU Healthcare CIC / NHS 111 Newark Hospital

(as a relative),

We called 111 when my partner was feeling unwell one evening and were asked a lot of questions then told that someone would call back but if things changed we should call back, after a while a nurse called us and asked the same questions then said that a doctor would ring but if things changed to call back, after about 2, 1/2 hours and no call I rang 111 to say that she was worse, the operator said you called earlier, I said yes but my partner was worse so she asked the same questions as before then said someone would call but if things changed to ring back, I said I was calling back but she just said someone will call back. What a waste of time, we drove to our local Hospital instead of waiting for them to go through it all again. We only have an out of hours doctor until midnight then we would have a 23 mile to see a doctor so we just turned up at our Urgent Care Center which is 1 mile away and were seen within 1 hour,
