"Hurstwood Park parking saga"

About: Hurstwood Park Centre

Having had an appointment booked for Spinal treatment at Hurstwood Park on Monday 15 January '18, we arrived an hour early from Worthing in diabolical Road conditions. We first drove to the limited' BlueBadge' spaces being a 'BB' holder only to find no spaces at all and cars even parked 90 degrees to other cars in bays.

It was a joke as we drove round all the entire Hospital entire site we could not find any spare bay and a lot of cars were parked on double yellow lines regardless of causing obstructions! The whole situation was made worse by the fact the exit barrier was stuck down at the main car park at the front of the main hospital building.

We drove around for 35 minutes trying to find a single space without luck let alone a BB parking bay. We ended up in the main car park in desperation and then we were stuck in a totally jammed up car park because nothing could exit through the barrier. In the end I drove the wrong way in the car park to bump over a kerb damaging a wheel in order to get in to the only remaining bay.

By this time I was extremely stressed., we were upset and to make matters worse we then had to walk through pouring rain to get to the main hospital entrance. On top of that I then had to negotiate the hellish long walk through the whole of the hospital through dingy damp low level corridors to get to the CT Reception. I struggle to walk as it is and walk with a stick so to say my Blood pressure was up was an understatement.

This was a return visit for a 2nd Nerve Root Block injection to my neck. I've now got to wait until June before I can get to see the same consultants to then investigate my lower spinal problems and not being able to walk hardly. The appointment for the 1st injection in November took 12 months to happen so all in all I am very unhappy with the service I have so far received at Hurstwood Park and will being trying to get my treatment transferred to Goring Hall which is only 10 min drive from our house and minimal walking distance in the hospital.

Never ever have I experience such a bad site for treatment.
