"Venesection’ was painful."

About: Circle-Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre

Needle was put into a valve. Rather than remove and reposition the nurse just continued. At one point I don’t know the science behind it but the needle started bucking in my arm. I assume because it was trying to draw blood from a part of my arm where there was none. It just juddered and each jump of the needle caused pain. The pain in turn made me feel sick and queasy. I’ve had 30 plus Venesection’s in the last 3 years and this was the 3rd worst. First was when they took and pint and a half when not watching. The second was the same issue with the same nurse as my most recent visit and now this.
