"No sign of struggling NHS"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Radiology

(as the patient),

I was naturally concerned about this procedure, a liver biopsy, and how I would cope during and after the Biopsy. I went into the X Ray/ultrasound unit. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, I was treated extremely well and courteously. The staff did everything they could to keep me informed, comfortable and cared for. I never felt overlooked or forgotten. The areas I visited were clean and fresh and a good temperature. All staff introduced themselves and I was impressed with the verbal tick list given to staff before and after my procedure. My husband was with me all the time (except during the Biopsy) and he was never felt to be in the way and was always treated with respect. Because I had been without food for over 8 hours, I was given an NHS snack box. There was no sign of a struggling NHS.

Thank you for taking time to feedback so positively about your experience whilst undergoing this complex procedure in the Diagnostic Imaging department.

I will ensure the team involved hears about your positive comments; I am delighted you felt well cared for during the biopsy
