"They are terrible - I am moving to another surgery"

The doctors are fine if and when you can get to see them. Appointments don’t exist. Reception staff are incredibly rude and lazy. The stress of trying to call for appointment is too much as you will be ringing for 20mins at atleast to be told that there aren’t any appointments. They don’t offer a service where you know where in the call list you are like most gp surgeries, so the phone just rings and rings and you have no indication as to put the phone down or to stay on. It’s gone down hill massively.

They are so bad that they said i'm within my rights to move to another surgery. Don't worry, I will. But in the mean time, how about you start improving your service so people don't suffer.

Thank you taking time to pass on your feedback. We apologise for the inconvenience and can understand patients frustration. We are aware of the phone issues and have been working with our phone company for over 9 months to try to improve the situation. As they haven't improved things satisfactorily we are now moving phone providers. It will be 6-8 weeks until the new system is in place but patients should notice a massive improvement to service. There will be a queuing system as requested by patients so you know you are moving up the queue and your call will be answered.

If you are having problems with reception staff please take their name and please call and speak to either Karen Naylor or Tracy Burton with the details and we will look into this for you and ensure there are no training needs which need to be addressed.
